This Kai Badger. Kai is the "Keeper of the Keys". He guards the underground tunnels. None shall pass unless Kai says so. And believe me, NONE shall pass.
Kai is an american badger puppet made by Folkmanis. Though it's only been retired since 2006, I've been having the hardest time finding one. I was absolutely thrilled when I fell upon Estes Ark, who just so happened to be the last store to buy whatever Folkmanis had left of that model, and so, it seems, are the only ones with some left. Happy happy me. It was one of those times (just like with Erwin, the boar) when I couldn't find satisfaction in any other stuffed version of an animal (at an affordable price, that is, Kösen and Steiff usually have awesome animals but I could never afford one) but the only one I loved just happened to be a nowhere to be found retired model. Just my luck... But I DID find it. :)
