Snark has a funny story. He is Hansa's Woodhog. However, when I bought him from a seller on Ebay, I didn't know there were 2 different versions of the Woodhog : a HUGE one with tusks sold in the US only, and a smaller one without tusks sold in UK only. Not that I mind, but I was quite surprised when I opened the box.
His name is from Lewis Caroll's book Hunt of the Snark.
Snark is not Boojums, rest assured.
He is very funny, he can strech out his nose to sniff anything interesting, and then pull it back in (by pulling on his tail) wen there's none. It is said Woodhogs live in trees and the knot in their tail helps them by getting caught into branches preventing the Woodhogs from falling down.
