I'm done furring the face. The holes on each sides of the lip will be filled with the neck front piece. Boy, she's turning out HUGE! I can't believe how those large googely eyes are looking so tiny now! I mean, yeah, I know fur adds bulk but I didn't expect this... She's so fat and large! Well at least it'll look less silly when the rest of the body is just as big and large, I guess.
I trimmed the muzzle fur some. I would've loved to trim some more because it is not as defined as I would've hoped, but some seams were starting to want to show up so I had to stop there.
The nose is just a fleece nose I rushed just for the pictures, so it would hide the seams that will eventually be hidde by the real nose. Her real nose will be a bit less flat.
I had a harder time glueing the eyes in place than I had expected. With Jack's eyes, I had built up large sockets and all I had to do was pop the eyes in place. They barely needed any glue and the sockets were not furred (they were lined with the same fabric I used for his lips) so it was pretty easy. My Black Rabbit's eyes are not even eyes, so cutting out a hole and lining it with see-through fabric was a joke. Bouki's eyes were glued to the patch of black fur she has around her eyes before the patch of black fur was mounted onto the head, so again it was much easier.
Philo's eyes were popped in like Jack's, but in a totally furred socket. Now THAT was hard without getting glue all over the furr but still securing the eye enough that it won't shift.
