I had the idea because I wanted to make a wolf mask I could use in LARPS, so I wanted to keep the "hard" pieces to a minimum by fear of having them broken or popped out or have the paint chipped or something while getting my sorry excuse for a big bad wolfy butt beaten back to Hell. Because that is what happens to monsters in LARPS, usually.

Basically I'm more or less reproducing the glass eye technique, I'm having black see-through fabric used as tear duct and using some cheap leatherette for eyelids. But instead of glueing a glass eye to the fabric, because it would be torn off for sure, I just draw an eye.

And gees, I'm impressed, it works! And I think it looks decent too! Well of course this eye is just a test, the fur is just pushed into position, it is not fixed in any way nor placed... But I think it'll work fine. :)

I'm happy.
